Your reflections, Prayer Pocket entries, Signal Check-Ins, tuned-in days, Captured Moments, Frequency Afterglow reviews, saved devotionals, Charges, reading settings, and completion progress stay in storage on your device. The current app has no reader accounts, advertising, cross-app tracking, or analytics profile, and Holy Voltage Radio LLC does not sell personal information. If you choose Signal Plus after checkout opens, Stripe processes the purchase separately from that private devotional activity.
1. Who operates The Signal
The Signal is a devotional application operated by Holy Voltage Radio LLC (“Holy Voltage Radio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy applies to The Signal web app and any future Holy Voltage Radio mobile version that links to this policy. The broader Holy Voltage Radio website has a separate website privacy policy.
Privacy questions can be sent to hello@holyvoltageradio.com.
2. Information stored on your device
The current version uses browser or app storage on your device to remember:
- completed devotionals and Charges you mark as carried;
- the calendar days when you open the app, shown as Days You Tuned In;
- Signal Check-Ins, including the response and optional sentence you choose to save;
- Captured Moments, including the published words, listening time, linked Signal, and optional private reflection you save;
- devotionals you save;
- private reflection text you choose to write;
- Prayer Pocket entries, their linked Signal, and whether you mark them answered;
- Frequency Afterglow review responses and the Frequency you choose to review;
- your My Frequency season, growth focus, and seven selected devotionals;
- the most recent Signal Drop you have seen, used only to clear the new indicator in that browser profile;
- your most recently selected Signal Radio station;
- your preferred reading size, Easy View setting, and last-opened Signal;
- your preferred Ivy playback speed, hands-free continuation setting, and remembered listening position;
- your Signal Rhythm Frequency, start date, and preferred time;
- individual or full-Frequency Ivy recordings you explicitly save for offline listening; and
- basic install or display preferences supported by your device.
This device-local devotional information is not transmitted to Holy Voltage Radio LLC, does not create an account, and is not available to our team. It stays on the device and browser profile where it was created unless you choose to share text using your device’s sharing tools.
3. Information processed to deliver the app
When you connect to the app, hosting and content-delivery systems may process standard technical request information needed to deliver and secure the service. This can include an IP address, browser or device type, requested files, timestamps, and basic error or security logs.
The free devotional experience does not request access to your contacts, precise location, photos, camera, microphone, health data, or payment information. It does not contain third-party advertising or cross-service tracking code.
4. Ivy audio, Carry Mode, calendar planning, and sharing
Tune My Signal matches a need you select to a fixed, prewritten devotional recommendation on your device. The selection is not saved, sent to Holy Voltage Radio, used to create a profile, or processed by an artificial-intelligence system. Emergency Signal likewise matches the need you choose to fixed, prewritten grounding, prayer, carry text, and a published Ivy devotional on your device. It does not save or send what brought you there.
My Frequency uses fixed, editor-selected devotional groupings to arrange seven already-published Signals from the season and growth focus you choose. It does not generate devotional or Scripture content, send those choices to Holy Voltage Radio, create an account, or build a server-side spiritual profile. The choices and resulting path are stored only in the current browser profile until you rebuild or erase them.
Signal Drops is a published-content archive that highlights the newest seven-day Frequency and recent releases. The app stores only the identifier of the most recent Drop you have seen so it can remove the new indicator in that browser profile. Holy Voltage Radio does not receive Drop viewing history, and the current feature does not schedule push notifications.
Signal Radio arranges published devotionals and their finished Ivy recordings into fixed seven-Signal stations selected by Holy Voltage Radio. The most recently selected station is stored in the current browser profile. The playback timer exists only while the current app session is open. Station choice, queue position, and listening activity are not sent to Holy Voltage Radio or synchronized to an account.
Days You Tuned In records only the local calendar date when this app is opened in the current browser profile. Signal Check-Ins store the answer and optional sentence you choose after a devotional. Neither feature sends that information to Holy Voltage Radio, calculates a public streak, creates a wellness score, or synchronizes to an account.
Ivy’s read-aloud tracks are finished audio files created before publication. Pressing play requests the selected audio file from the app host; it does not send your reflection, progress, or listening request to a live artificial-intelligence or text-to-speech system.
Signal Theater presents that same finished Ivy recording in a full-screen visual player. Its chapter, timing, title, Anchor, pull quote, Charge, and prayer are drawn from the selected published devotional. Its synchronized closed captions are also assembled from that published devotional text on your device; no live transcription request is made. Opening or leaving Signal Theater does not create a new recording, collect viewing activity, or send devotional progress to Holy Voltage Radio. Your caption on-or-off preference stays in device storage. If you save an Ivy recording for offline listening, its small prepared caption track is stored with that recording.
Capture the Moment uses the prepared caption timing and current audio position to select words surrounding the moment you choose. A saved Captured Moment and its optional reflection stay in the current browser profile. If you choose to share, the branded picture or copied link contains published devotional words, title, branding, and the listening time. The optional reflection is never included. The image is created in your browser and is not uploaded to Holy Voltage Radio.
If you choose “Save Ivy offline” or save a full Frequency, the selected finished recordings are stored in the browser or app cache on that device. Listening speed, auto-continue, and remembered playback position are also kept in device storage. None of these settings are synchronized to an account, and the recordings remain subject to the personal-use license in our Terms of Use.
Carry Mode reorganizes the selected Signal’s existing anchor summary, Charge, prayer, reflection prompts, and private note into a focused mobile practice. Opening Carry Mode does not send that activity to Holy Voltage Radio. Any Charge or completion choice uses the same device-local storage described above.
Prayer Pocket entries remain on the device unless you remove them, erase local app data, or create a Markdown export. The export is generated directly on your device, and Holy Voltage Radio does not receive a copy.
Frequency Afterglow responses also remain on the device. The printable page and Markdown archive are created through your browser or device, and Holy Voltage Radio does not receive a copy of the review.
Signal Rhythm creates a standard calendar file directly on your device using the Frequency, date, and time you choose. Holy Voltage Radio does not receive those choices. If you import the file, the calendar service or provider you select will process the event information under its own terms and privacy practices.
Send a Signal lets you choose or write a short personal note and preview the devotional title, published pull quote, and direct app link. That note exists only in the current screen’s memory and is not saved or transmitted to Holy Voltage Radio. It is given to your device’s native share feature only after you choose Share through my phone, or placed on your clipboard when you choose Copy message and link. The app does not receive the destination or recipient, and private reflections, Check-Ins, prayers, listening history, and progress are never included.
If you tap Share inside Carry Mode, The Signal gives your device’s native share feature only the selected published Charge text and a direct app link. You choose whether and where to send it. Holy Voltage Radio does not receive the destination or recipient from that device-level share action.
Shareable reminder pictures are branded image files created directly in your browser from the selected Signal’s published Charge—the practical takeaway for that devotional. The image is not uploaded to Holy Voltage Radio. Your device handles saving or sharing it, and Holy Voltage Radio does not receive the image, destination, or recipient.
Printable Signal Guides are prepared through your browser’s print feature from the selected devotional and any reflection already saved for it on that device. Holy Voltage Radio does not receive the printout, saved PDF, printer choice, or local reflection included in the guide.
The Signal Plus opening-updates link opens the Holy Voltage Radio website. If you choose to submit an email address there, the website’s separate privacy policy applies. Opening the link alone does not give The Signal access to your Prayer Pocket or reflections.
5. Signal Plus and Stripe
Signal Plus checkout is staged and remains unavailable until the app shows an active Stripe checkout button. If you later choose to subscribe, the app will send you to a Stripe-hosted checkout page. Stripe may collect your name, email address, billing address, payment method, tax information, IP address, device information, and other information needed to process and protect the transaction under Stripe’s own privacy terms.
Holy Voltage Radio may receive limited customer, subscription, transaction, invoice, tax, and fraud-prevention information from Stripe for fulfillment, accounting, customer support, refunds, disputes, and legal compliance. The Signal does not receive or store your complete card number or card security code.
Purchasing Signal Plus does not give Holy Voltage Radio access to your reflections, Prayer Pocket, saved Signals, listening history, or devotional progress. Those features remain device-local and are not attached to Stripe customer records.
6. How information is used and disclosed
Standard technical information may be used to deliver the app, troubleshoot failures, prevent abuse, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations. Service providers may process that limited information only as needed to perform hosting, security, and delivery services for us.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use devotional notes for advertising, train artificial-intelligence models on reader reflections, or build a profile of a reader’s faith activity.
7. Retention and deletion
Device-local information remains until you clear it, clear the browser’s site data, uninstall an installed app in a way that removes its storage, or the device removes it. The in-app “Erase my local app data” control removes The Signal’s saved progress, tuned-in days, Signal Check-Ins, preferences, Signal Rhythm choices, My Frequency choices, reflections, Prayer Pocket entries, Frequency Afterglow reviews, and offline Ivy recordings from that browser profile. Calendar events already imported into another calendar must be removed through that calendar service.
Erasing device-local app data does not cancel a Signal Plus subscription or delete records held by Stripe or Holy Voltage Radio for billing, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or legal compliance. Use the Stripe billing portal or contact support to manage a subscription.
Standard security and server logs may be retained by our infrastructure providers for a limited period consistent with security, troubleshooting, legal, and operational needs.
8. Children’s privacy
The Signal is a general-audience devotional service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the current app. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Holy Voltage Radio outside the device-local features described here, contact us so we can review the request.
9. Security and your choices
We use reasonable measures intended to protect the app and information processed by its infrastructure. No online system can guarantee absolute security. Avoid placing highly sensitive information in a reflection, especially on a shared device.
You can stop using the app at any time, erase local app data from Your Signal, or export a local Markdown copy of the reflections currently stored in that browser profile. Creating that export does not send the file to Holy Voltage Radio. You can also contact us with questions about information Holy Voltage Radio controls.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as The Signal develops. If a future feature introduces accounts, synchronization, analytics, notifications, or new data practices, we will revise this policy and provide any notice or consent required for that feature.
